More Leaves. These pics are from Finch Hatton Gorge near Mackay. I have taken these from the underside of the leaves looking thru them towards the sunlight whch really brings out their details. Quite amazing.

A beach shot near to Bowen about 200km south of Townsville. This is the town that a new movie is being shot at with Nicole Kidman. Didnt see her tho!

A big bird about 1.2m tall. It was dancing around flapping its wings to keep it light on its feet and chasing little tiny fish. It looked awesome, so graceful and yet so fast and accurate. I couldnt get my camera focused fast enough so I didnt get a real clear shot unfortunately.

Some forest and swamplands near Cocoa Creek south of Townsville.

A duotone of a bird. I dunno the name of this bird but it is white. Lives in the shallow swamplands and eats little fish and bugs and things out of the mud ... and somehow has managed to avoid being eaten so far by the crocodiles!

Well People, since I last posted ... ages ago ... I have changed a few things. One, I have a new lens for my camera; a 50-500mm tele lens and the other thing is I live on the other side of the country! I moved recently to Townsville in Queensland, so soon you will see some different kinds of photos hopefully. Happy browsing.


An FA-18 Hornet fly over at the Adelaide Clipsal 500. The photo isnt quite clear but there is a vortex over the top of the plane caused from air pressure differences making the moisture in the air condense into a cloud. Probably doing 1000km/h+ and banking straight up causing around 10-12x normal gravity for the pilot. Imagine weighing that much! 650+kg! Nice!

Alligator creek, south of Townsville, QLD. A panorama which is new for me. if you look closely you might see where i have attempted to join 3 photos together to get this pic! It is a lot of work. More practice is required.
